On a 5-stopper within TX(by choice). Was told it was New Braunfels, Sealy and 3 Houston M&P's...3 out of 5 were right, #4 was actually north of Houston and #5 is in Beaumont. I didn't think I would get to leave the property Saturday. Load's ready time was 10am...checked in at 11, picked, but not loaded yet. After noon sometime, load was ready, go to take off and my 'parked regen' light comes on. So, while signing all the paperwork in the breakroom, I regenned it...go to leave, scale out...had to head back to shipping for a recount....on my 3rd attempt I make it to the gate...but have a wait while security finally gets shipping to answer the phone to release my load...this puts me just in time to hit some thick traffic in Austin (like there is a time when there isn't slow traffic in Austin).

Managed to get last 4 stops off in one day, including 250 miles, helping 1 stop pick up 2 pallets that HE flipped because shipping loaded them sideways and his forks were short, helping to manually pallet jack a piece of equipment to the back of the trailer because my landing gear were too low to get to their dock, and pallet clamping the last 4 pallets of long rolls at my final stop (for which I was thanked by 2 forklift operators...apparently not all our drivers drag the clamp and chains like they are suppose to)...all in all a decent day. Now if backhaul would call, I could find out when I am headed to GP to pick up my home bound load...

HI Chemster, Just want to say thanks for posting thread on Poly. I have given Poly passing thoughts many times but just haven't followed thru. Can you tell more about the runs. Do you all go into NYC? Also do you guys have auto transmission? I have a weak left knee from clutching for about 5 years. Then someone taught me how to float the gears but the damage was done by then. Do they have teams there. Any information will be helpful. Thx

no automatic trucks although i heard a whisper about them recently. Non force dispatch so no nyc if you dont want to, although if you deliver somewhere around there you could get a backhaul that picks up there, other than maybe long island i dont think runs go there anyway, we have a drop in nj that is a transfer place for loads going in the city. loads from poly plants go everywhere except cali, most are major dcs, walmart, lowes etc and many small contractor places and farms that order products. outbound loads are non force, backhaul is not although you can always communicate with backhaul if there is somthin you need. no teams

hey Chemster That is good news about no forced dispatch but not so good for the teams. They keep you running good do they? I just quit Abilene a I found out thru a company that I was putting application in with that they blackballed me. so don't know how they would look at that. Thx

Miracle of miracles. ..shipping was only an hour behind yesterday. Headed home with another multi-stop load, but this time they're M&P's so if I hustle I get an extra day at home.

And the backroads between Pol-Tex and I-45 are still under construction...parts of TX-150 are still dirt (or yesterday...mud). It's only been 6 days since I went thru the Beacon...and my truck looks like crap...

Oh, and I saw a Poly bulk tanker yesterday. I knew they had vac trucks and pan haulers for the raw material, even what looks like a covered wagon with really short sides for different raw materials...but in the time I've been here I've never seen a bulk taker (like what A&R and fraq sand haulers pull) although it was broke down on the side of the road with another Poly there lending assistance

Got my back haul out of the house Tuesday picking up in Jacksonville going to flower mound tx delivering 5am Thursday.
My sleeping is all jacked up. Was trying to run nights and my stupid apu decides not to work. So i idled but the truck ,doesn't get cool enough during the day for me to sleep good.
I'm about 4 hrs from delivery so about to head out. Hopefully I can get the apu looked at or just fix my sleeping schedule and idle. Ac works great driving, kinda sick it doesn't cut it during the day when I idle.

Put myself on the board for Friday, was told better loads come out Friday compared to Thursday so that gives me time tomorrow to fix apu or get sleep lol.

If anyone needs me, I'll be elsewhere(as far as the forum). This new 'update' has made it almost un-useable on my equipment so I will check back in a few months to see if it improves any...just like an Android OS update, it took a useable product and made it useless all for the sake of "better, stronger, faster'. I hate it! So, like any business or customer service based service...I am going to search elsewhere for another forum to follow amd check back in a few months to see if the mods and administrators have unscrewed what has been screwed....sorry folks but you have ruined it for a lot of people with this new system and fear that many regulars will vanish from what use to be an enjoyable product...
