When I did that, I was paid by the hour, and I still hated it. As an o/o, I did rails in Chicago. Most 53' chassises are in good condition, with led lights and tubeless tires. I have done double moves in less than half an hour.

    Hey roadawg,
Who are you signed on with? I talked to guy from mwg and it seems like a decent company. He said they pull out of Harrisburg, so I wasn't sure if you knew anything about them.

I'm signed with Transnoble. I don't know anything about the "other" guys - this is new territory for me.

OK. How do you like the Harrisburg yards? You ever pull out of Bethlehem?

I've never been to the Bethlehem ramp. Harrisburg is fine, most days are easy in, easy out.

Yes....my plan is to buy a truck and park for about 6months or so until I finish payments. So by the time I start driving it, all I have to worry about fuel, insuramce ,mx

I was leased to Pacer in Chicago. I was paid $1.25 per, plus fsc, $0.90 per empty mile, plus fsc and $0.70 per bobtail mile, with fsc. While I was there I was on 2 dedicated runs, one about 225 miles and the other 306. For the runs that were 306, line haul was $375, and fsc was about $140-$150. I usually came back loaded. The run, if you drove 68 could be done in 11 hours driving and 14 on duty. I was able to do 4 most weeks, Sunday through Thursday, which netted between $1,800 to $2,500 a week.

To the driver who wouldn't touch a load for less than $700, I agree with you. If I am not coming home for weeks at a time, it better pay. But seeing as I have young children at home, if there was an emergency, I could be home that day. That is worth a lot.

@bean at the hub yard they will fight for empty containers, I like going there and let them bid to see who takes my empty box... one time I got 50 dollars for it!, today I started at 7 and I was done by 1 I did my two loads

desi don't buy a truck to have it sitting there, parking spaces are going for 150 and up in this area you get 6 months and Schneider will pick up for on their pick your freight program they just added intermodal to the board based on what I heard.

guys summer is here recaps will be blowing left and right watch out!
