I was aware of the Quintiq issue. I called every day to make sure my home day was correct. It actually extended me a day a few times. I got away from my home DC plenty, I just got shifted east to the Milwaukee and Chicago market, a much smaller footprint than Menomonie. I probably averaged between 2200 to 2500 miles a week. Now I get a better mix of long and short. My average mileage is up between 2700 to 2900 miles a week with the highest being just under 3400 on a week I extended. Much happier and works really well for me. I'm used to working the weekends from my old job that it doesn't bother me one bit. One of the real perks of the job is the variety of schedules available. It might take awhile, but once you find the one you like, it makes everything else so much better.

Also don't you get paid extra working weekends too?

jfred74, you are in an area with a lower saturation of stores compared to here in East Texas, so you can run more miles. A driver here will not see 2500+ miles a week unless they were on a set run. I usually average 2250 miles a week with an ADP of $380.
I am more of the type driver who looks at dollars earned and how many hours worked it took to earn the money more than miles driven. I will take a 3 stop peddle run to Neighborhood Market stores running about 180 miles total compared to a 400 mile run with less activity pay because I make more money, and that is my bottom line.Buzzard2157, Woodenleg and noninetofive Thank this. -
I like a good mix. My ADP went from between $380 to $390 on extra board down to about $335 to $340 on the 5/2 5/3. It sure goes down a lot faster than it goes up!

Question during the road test can u float gears r clutch them, just want to do it rite, thx
-
I asked first. He told me to do it how I want, that they already know you know how to drive a truck. I never touched the clutch after that. Each DC is a little different though so definitely ask whoever administers your road test. And good luck.
