Hey thanks Majestyk. I didn't realize they had already passed some EFS stuff out.I haven't been on the yard in GP in about three weeks. No one mentioned the Cali/Canada stuff to me either. I just noticed them listed on the new permits we got with the new tags they put on our trucks. Look at yours and you'll see what I'm talking about. You mentioned you were doing a restart in Wells. Was it your truck I saw parked in the back corner of the Flying J there? I honked when I jumped on I-80 east and noticed a Poly truck out on the lot. :)

Not to but in, but the changes on your cab card are not company based. There was a change to IRP and all jurisdictions are on every IRP trucks registration now. So it has nothing to do with Poly.

We all got new plates and most of our trucks are not 5 years old. Mines only 2 and I got new ones as did the guys who just got new trucks last year.

I asked the shop same question. They wanted all the trucks on
same cycle. As poly 's famous saying it is what it is

Yep that was likely me. Pulled out there to fire up the old BBQ grill:) Surprised you didn't get a call about the EFS. Tony called me worried I wouldn't be on the yard I suppose over the coming weeks. Guess I have been doing a pretty good job of staying out of GP or doing a quick in and out to pick up a load over the weekend:)

Just thought I would check in briefly...looks as though this update is still f'd up...at least for both my phone (Sammy S3 w/4.2 Android) and my tablet (Asus/Nexus 7 w/4.2 Android) still keeps bumping me up into the quoted part of the reply when it does it's draft auto-save, then I have to post, then edit to get back to the bottom..then, if I have to go back up and fix something I misspelled up in an earlier paragraph, I have to resave, and re-edit to get back to the bottom. In all honesty, I still think the system downgrade blows chunks...big industrial strength juicy chunks at that(it would be an upgrade if it worked right once in a while). But one positive out of the system change...it has broken my addiction to daily posting, and forced me to find something more interesting to do...like watch paint dry or replay more re-runs of shows I've already seen on Nexflix... And before anyone suggests I try and iPhone...save your data. I loathe any Apple product and would just soon have my cajones removed thru my ears than ever downgrade to an Apple product...my S3 was doing stuff years ago that the i6 is just started doing (at least on Verizon)

As far as the EFS switch...not sure why either, but Poly isn't alone...I believe Crete changed not long after I left in 2013. It may have something to do with cost, but I wouldn't say that was the only reason. As secretive as the ownership family is about their financial records, I would venture a guess that it has something to do with data security or mileage reporting...I had heard a rumor that the management is trying to do away with the route reporting on our trip sheets, maybe EFS' data is more compatable with some new software they are preparing to use. I see that they are starting to implement more trucks into the automated breakdown reporting (via qualcomm).

As far as the possibility of us going to Cali (since we now have it on our cab cards)..until we see aero-enhanced trailers...I doubt we will ever go...and I doubt we see many of our ragged pieces of *bleep* trailers with the wings or fairings so they would be CARB compliant.

I gotta go...I had to save and edit a half dozen times just to get this posted...I can't keep doing this...this new system is a total joke...and a bad joke at that. I'll check back in another few weeks to see if anything is fixed...but maybe it's a subtle way to get some of us cranky opinionated old farts to leave so some new members can come in with some new opinions...who knows, but even the Crete thread had slowed a great deal after the change, so it's not just me that is fed up with the problems...later ya'll

Oh...happy Memorial Day...since I am having such a problem posting now...I'll skip my usual Memorial Day message.

Switch to EFS has something to do with it being easier on payroll to make deductions on people doing payroll.
