Does anyone know if they will bend on the 2005 truck requirement. I have an 03 xl classic that is in great shape. I would like to try these guys, but I am not going to go out and another truck just to sign on with them.

    Thanks

Thanks, I already chose not to got there before you replied. I had a falling out with them becuase they kept forgetting to send my drug test info. Long story short, I sat in hotel 4 days waiting on them for nothing.

I started with AW Transport last year, my first load was Jan 06, 2014 from Charlotte NC to Murfreesboro TN. 30 miles from my delivery I lost an airbag on my drives.... I dumped the air and took it in on the rails and delivered the load. I called the owner, Jordan, and told him what happened and that I didn't have the money to fix it. Jordan said not to worry just take it to the shop and he would take care of it, and he did. I am still with AW Transport today, I have an 02 International Eagle with a C15 Cat that gets 5.3 per gallon on average.

AW Transport is very straight forward... You pay your insurance, tag and plate. If you need a Trailer, they have an account with PAL leasing, a 5 or 6 year old trl cost about 350 a month plus insurance, while a new trl is about 550 a month plus insurance. My weekly deduction is $340.00 a week ( I opted for a new 2015 Great Dane trl. ) I live in Charlotte NC, I run 3 weeks on and 1 week off, this is my preference and I will explain in detail why I do this very shortly. What ever you bill before noon Chicago time will be in your checking account the next day! a year and a half, next day every time! When you get your pay settlement sheet along with your pay, you are deducted your fuel along with your weekly deduction. I also take advances for the money I think I will need for tolls if my load has toll roads in route, I do this so I can see my tolls being taken out of my check, not my checking account. TO DATE 2015 GROSS CK $106,752.00 NET CK $65,977.22 That is 66k in my checking account after fuel and deductions, insurance etc. Last year, my first year, my NET was 132k.

AW Transport separates those who believe they are professionals from those who really are! If you are a steering wheel holder that still has the mindset that the world owes you, and that you will not have to make the tough decisions it takes to be a successful 0/0, then you should go back from where you came from. For those of you who truly understood the statement I just made, this company is a 10, period!

When people ask what I do, I say I am Captain save a load, we come in where other company's fail, many times I am already late for the pick up before I even get the load! Now I will explain the 3 weeks on 1 week off. If I am in Albany NY, and I am willing to go anywhere, then I can dictate the rate for the load, we are in control, we have what they need and in most cases they (Brokers) would rather pay our fee than make their customers angry. If I am in Albany NY and the only place I can go is Charlotte NC, then I loose all control over rate..... its just that simple. If I do 4 loads a week and give up the profit on 1 of them so I can be home every weekend, then I can only blame myself for the profits I make. Tough decisions require a business mindset, not a blame someone else mindset.

AW Transport has 5 dispatchers for the 50 owner operators in the fleet. you are not assigned a dispatcher but rather all the dispatchers are looking for loads for all the drivers all the time... I HAVE 5 GUYS BUSTING THERE ##### FOR ME EVERY DAY, no 0/0 from any other company can say that... please prove me wrong! I have direct line for everyone in the company, everyone! I have the cell phone numbers for everyone in the company, the cell phone that sits on their night stand at night! even the owners (Jordan)

0/0s do not get referral bonuses, for you old school guys who thought you could never find a good company to lease on with, call AW (Jordan) and talk to him, for the rest of you wannabees who needs someone else to run your truck (business), someone to blame for your failures, keep looking!

My name is Scott A. Neil, I live in Charlotte NC, I am ONE of the 50 professionals that comprise AW Transport. Any professionals want to see my numbers, want to know how I run my truck here at AW, call Jordan, I am an open book, I will talk to any serious 0/0s at any time.

    Thanks

    Scott A. Neil

If it truly is in great shape, Jordan will work with you, what you saw was a "standard" that the company has set.

Funny everyone who loves AW has less than ten posts on this forum. Go figure.

Well now Precious, In the past post you have blamed 3 different companies.... Jordan does NOT lie, period. He saved me the first week I worked there and I can give you a list of 0/0s he did the same for when the were in trouble. as far as %85, %81,%90, what matters is what is in your pocket at the end of the week, and I gave my numbers for everyone to see!

I cautioned Jordan about hiring new 0/0s, first time truck owners, but he believes everyone deserves a chance... I think he is just putting up with a lot of aggravation for very little in return. You have had people telling you how and what to do for the past 16yrs. You do not understand the business, just how to haul freight... its obvious to me as well as the other 0/0s reading these posts. I know this is a harsh statement, but its true and before you stick your foot further in your mouth maybe you should just consider going back to what you are capable of doing instead of trying to badmouth a really good company.

Everyone who loves AW is satisfied with where they are... not on message boards looking for jobs..

It's pretty obvious you work for the company and are trying to push it up.
