I thank you for the information. Keep it coming. Never mind them. I also read threads on here previously from other drivers that are IC doing same thing it's called HELP. No O/O got where they at without help or knowledge from previous O/O . They didn't come into business knowing they had to learn and listen to others. I am starting the IC program on August 10 a new 2016 freightliner cascadia evolution. I chose that because I love my freight that's what I was trained in 9yrs ago and stuck with it. So keep the knowledge coming

How did you get your tractor to sni from the dealership without ask that stuff before you leave the lot?

Basically what I'm doing is bringing the truck I am leasing from Prime over to sni. I'm happy with my 2015 freightliner that I got brand-new in January and it only has 40,000 miles on it so far :). It's still a nice walk away lease with them so if things don't work out our I just fall in love with a kw that I can't live without, lol. I'm sure I'll be able to be very successful at sni but I like to have a safety net out a back up plan just in case.

Before Prime let's me leave with the tractor I'll need need to show proof of insurance is all they are asking.

Schneider Finance requires the same thing. Just get Prime's requirements and give to your recruiter. They will get you setup. SNI isn't worried about physical damage insurance but Prime is. So you can shop around to find the better deal. Same with Non-Trucking Liability. All my insurance is with SNI. SNI's rates are decent and they are a whole lot easier to deal with in case of a claim. I've had NO PROBLEMS filing a claim. They actually help you with it. With your own insurance, you deal with that company directly. At SNI, SNI is the insurance company.

I had the dealer deliver the truck to my house. Then when I was ready to lease on to SNI they set up temporary insurance for me to bobtail to the terminal to get it inspected and get the MCP and stuff installed.

What abou the base plates? Did you get those on your own through your states dmv or did you have sni do that?

it's easier to let SNI do the plates, permits, they will get temp ins./tag to get you to an OC that does choice orientation. plates and permits are around $35.00/wk, all year long.

    Dominick253 and redoctober83 Thank this.

Does sni still require you to set up an emergency fund or tire fund when you bring your own truck over?

    Dominick253 Thanks this.
