I've seen loads pay $2.50+ to AZ
Coming back will generally be about a $1 though.
Averaging $1.50 all miles running back and forth on that lane looks realistic based on the board.
Or you can stay within CA and do fine it looks like. Kind of like the Northeast as long as you don't wanna leave you can work well.
You can do okay out west but no way you can pull off $1.80+ all miles doing anything out there.
Midwest and Northeast you can. I averaged over $2 this weekDominick253 Thanks this. -

I could knock out 3500 mile weeks out west and earn less than I could doing 2000 mile weeks of short loads in the midwest or Northeast. That's the strange part about being on %
I know it plays with my mind a bit.
Because in my decision making I think.. well I'd enjoy to drive here but then I'd be driving for cheap. vs I effing hate going there but I'd earn a lot.
Then after a few good loads I feel spoiled and only want to run at a high rate vs losing patience and going crazy from driving in areas I hate which pay well.
The question is how much BS are you willing to put up with to earn the most $?
If it was only about making the most money I'd probably never leave the Northeast and just run regional there but there's only so much of that I can take before I want to drive my truck off a bridge lol.Last edited: Jun 22, 2015

I believe the only way to make it in western 11 is to own your truck or make it western 1. As in California only.

What about rates going into Utah from the midwest or eastern states? Or what area has the best rates going to Salt Lake City basically? What kind of rates are there going out of Salt Lake to the midwest and eastern reagion? Thanks Guys!

I do not suggest joining choice is you want to run out west or if you want to go home a lot.
As far as Utah.. there is nothing from the midwest going there.
There's $1.20 freight from Colorado going there.
From Utah the very best loads I saw went to Texas and one to Ohio each for $1.20 something.
From all I looked at if someone ran out west maybe they can average $1.30
$1.50 if they stay within Cali.
While it's I guess better than being a flease driver with Swift or any other mega there's just not really any money out there.
Me personally if I wasn't 110% sure I could do at least $1.50 all miles I wouldn't have joined here.
I'm doing way better than that but that's because I stay where the money is.Last edited: Jun 22, 2015
