Anyone noticing more frequent "bad" truck wrecks, lately?

I disagree. I have a satellite radio. And a GPS. And listen to music loud. None of those things can cause a wreck. They never have. They never will. The driver causes the wreck by his inattentive behavior. There was a nudnik in Alabama who caused a wreck by "pulling a tooth". It takes all kinds of stupid.

And they're wrong. As usual. You suck Stan. Lol. Seriously though, rendering all things that aren't "hands free" is not only impossible, but it's also an insane idea. Your radio will never be "hands free". Neither will your windows, your cigarette lighter or your windows, and neither will the itch on your back. We blame the devices, which is kinda correct. But the driver is always the problem. Always.

O.K. then answer my one question, WHY can't people merge into traffic? It really is as simple as judging the speed of traffic vs. your speed, pretty much the same as trying to "lead" the guy you are trying to shoot while he is running from the exploding building in Black Ops.

Don't give me this crap about better education or trainers, it's common sense, and I guess my Grandad was right all along, you can't teach it!

I don't know black ops. I don't know any video games, lol. And you're right. You can't teach intelligence.

I do get your point as I also have XM in my truck, but that is a poor example, if you are anything like me you have a couple of favorite stationed preselected on your radio, some days I never change it, some days I will change it once or twice, but this cell phone and texting thing has gotten overboard, people are putting more thought into what they are saying or texting than their are driving.

I reach for cigs, coffee, radio, windows, etc. Those things aren't hands free. Common sense folks. And no, i didn't grow up on a farm. I grew up in an urban ghetto. But i still have a 10 yr clean mvr.

True, but all of those things are a reflex reaction to something you have done thousands/millions of times, texting on a phone is different.

I usually agree with Stan and never agree with Joseph so I have a little common sense. Imagine how much i would have if I hadn't lived thru the 80's
