I don't know how that works, but a simple phone call will answer that. I don't care enough to pick up the phone. I remember one new CDL grad in Florida posted there was 3 of them in his truck.

If you don't believe me, call up E
Call up England or any of these MEGA carriers and maybe they can make you understand better than I can.

Your answer right there... hit the nail right on the head! Bingo.

Think your mistaking threads. I opened this thread asking for advice on where I should go since I havent drove in the last 4 years, but have 3 years experience. I'm in a little rut right now, due to a break-up, and trying to find a place to get myself stable again, but a good company with good pay. Sadly, only about 10 out of almost 250 post have anything to do with actually giving me some good companies that I should try for.

Can we please get back to just giving me some advice on some solid companies that I could work for? I know I can always go to the bottom feeder companies, but with 3+ years experience, surely I can do much better than that, which is why I started this thread in the first place.

Covenant transport, crst, teaming companies, etc...has the option of two students and a trainer in the truck. Two students on the e-log and the trainer on paper logs.

I said hell no to that when i started at covenant. That is optional with covenant. However my trainer had to transport a student from west to east coast so we ended up 3 to a truck for a short time. One time there was no freight so they bought a hotel for the layover. Two students in The hotel...trainers does the 10 hr in the sleeper. Or vice versa.

Covenant will pay for the hotel in the event of a layover for the 3 team training operation. Because how are 3 people suppose to be in the sleep in the truck in the event of a layover?

For any noobs out there reading this thread let it be a lesson...

If you can question the company on the specifics of their training program and/or research it being companies do lie.

If a company actually CARES about you and training you the right way they won't run the truck 24/7 as a team and have the trainer in the sleeper while you driver. And they certainly won't stick two trainees in a truck.

Those are driver mills.. and care more about cheap drivers and use their "training program" as a money machine.

I still think you should check Earl Henderson due to your financial situation. It's no bottom feeder company and has the guaranteed weekly minimum income.
K&B Transportation also has a guaranteed weekly minimum of $1125.00

    Pacific Islander Thanks this.

I really like what I'm seeing on the K&B website, 0.45 a mile, and guaranteed 2500 miles a week, but it says they are looking for recent experience. I'm gonna put them on my list anyways, and hope I can get on.

Looking at Hendersons website, I don't see whats good about them. I don't see anything great about them. What am I missing?

On average, I only took home $2500 a week. Not sure where you got $6000 from.
