I have 18 months t/t experience and looking for a good paying company to work for. Every time I think I've found a good one, I read on the forum nothing but negative. I would like to make at least $1,000 a week. Is this possible?
Are there any good trucking companies to drive for?

Let me guess. You only look for mega carriers and did not even think about some small companies

It seems as though only the big carriers have adds for hiring. I guess the smaller companies have all the drivers they need. I'm in OKC if anyone knows of any good companies out of here.

Some companies don't advertise. The place I'm leased to quit after the first time on Craigslist.

Kyle, have you looked at ACT TRUCKING out of Kansas city Mo? We are ALWAYS in Okc so you're in a prime location for hire. I been driving with them for a year and a half. I'm pretty happy here

Being armed with information from this site and others is useful, but you should make your own decisions.
A driver that wants to earn lots of money and doesn't mind being away from home for 2-3 weeks might think company A is awesome! But he's busy working and not on TTR complaining that he quit because they never got him home.
It's like a restaurant, if you don't like Greek food you won't leave happy no matter how well prepared it was. Some people eat McDonalds every week and others haven't crossed the threshold in 30 years.
What you love in a company might be the driving force someone else quit. The Patriot, Captain Zoom, Western flyer and 3 others Thank this. -

Most of the decent outfits around here go through the local employment office, and occasionally put an ad on craigslist right along with all the bogus ads. If you just want to make 1k a week you should be able to do that most anywhere as long as you work hard and keep them happy.
Someone will be along shortly with a list of Megas, or just stand along the highway and read they’re trailers as they drive by,lol.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
