So...... We are so short on drivers it seems that it sucks for me....
I had asked for a 34 to recharge the batteries, I'm running balls to the wall and I'm starting to feel it. Well, that plan to rest over the weekend kinda went down the drain. I ran like hell Thursday, and made it to Salem, OR pretty early. I was delivering to Woodburn. The original plan was to deliver Woodburn and pick up in Clackamas Saturday to Boise for a Saturday night delivery and then take a 34. And that's where it started.
They saw I made it to Salem way early, and changed my load to a pick up Friday night at 7 pm for a 2 Saturday AM deliveries. Hey, 34 starts early! Not a chance. After off duty driving back and forth to the Pilot to squeeze in some legalness, I'm on my way to Clackamas and then Boise. On the way, I get a load back to walnut, CA. Could not get out of it. I made it there, slept like 2 hours and line 5'd it over to Riverside, CA. Now loading here, I have to figure out how to make it to Kent, WA by Wednesday with 14 hours on the clock and picking up nothing tonight. No rest for the wicked or the weary. That's trucking though.
Now this is to someone who I had considered a friend, someone who reads this and most likely runs back with his full tampon back to Gordon reporting on everything I've said since March 2013.
And one last thing, that I've been thinking about. To my stalker who won't post here to "ruffle feathers", this is trucking. Not that pissant GTI hand holding fest. It's a challenge. As I've said before, GTI was all about 15 people and a computer telling you how to do your job, kinda like being a living breathing robot. You don't know what real trucking is. You haven't done it yet and staying there is going to continue that "non trucker" status most of you guys have.
I hate these big companies that teach these guys that hard work is a cardinal sin and takes away the ability to THINK for one's self. We are seeing the effects of these scumbag mega carriers in the steering wheel holders that are trying to come over here. They aren't hiring on because company A tells them .52 a mile for 1400 miles a week, satellite TV, a midget to rub your balls and free hot dogs at the terminal when you sit for three days waiting for a B service. They think you make money going home every weekend. They think because they ran 504 miles that's "running hard".
Blow it out your ### already and learn how to truck without your hand held, read a map and get yourself there without them INSTRUCTING you how as well. And stay the hell off my radar and out of my way. I have an actual job to do and schedule to keep. Not teaming and making the same amount of miles I drive solo you ####ing #######.
Put your man pants on and learn how to truck already. End of rant.Boardhauler Thanks this. -

Cmon now. Is it really my fault that this is the graduating class of any trucking school at this point?
What the hell is going on out here? A bunch of Palmolive ##### hand steering wheel holders that think a missing mudflap or a headlight out is a 6 hour shop trip. That they drove 9 hours yesterday so they gotta take it easy today. It's really amazing. -
