Next safety message will say something about properly hooking up to your trailer and doing more than just a tug test before driving off. That's my guess anyways, after watching a driver drop his trailer TWICE. :banghead:

And the hand holding begins. Anyone else get that 'all drivers message' about calling in when trailers are loaded a certain way...and we have to send pic's. What has happened? We use to be trusted to do our job without corporate interference...what's next, Forced routing? Forced fuel solutions? I was about to say something nice before they sent out our latest instructions...now I won't.

sounds like polly is getting the new generation of college educated desk jockies, who think they know more than the driver... so sad.

What are they talking about if the trailer is loaded down the middle? Either all my loads are that way or none of them have been that way depending on what they are talking about. I'll go with none of them have been that way, so I don't have to change anything I do lol.

I thought I would post my last 4 weeks take home pay so people looking at poly have an idea of what they can make. The last 4 weeks I've taken what most consider cappy loads which are usually what's left when outbound gives you a choice between the 2 loads they still have for that particular day. I've driven every day the last 4 weeks and have between 15-20 hours on my 70 so I'm not driving hard at all.
Also I don't have 401k or dental coming out of my checks yet but I do have 162 a week medical. So rounded to the nearest dollar my last 4 weeks take home pay are as follows.
    1348
    1253
    538
    2085
Not to shabby for slow weeks and poo poo loads.

I personally don't think it's a big deal but some people like to make mountains out of molehills. It's talking about Backhaul loads that sometimes the shippers will get crazy loading. 99% of loads we haul will never be like that. I've hauled one load where they loaded single pallets of tile down the middle but no big deal as I don't drive all crazy to make it move, case closed.

Poly is not a good fit for some as stated before but after a while it just becomes comical to see people beating their heads against a wall that isn't going to move. Crap or get off the pot is my motto.

Pretty much all of poly upper management decision makers have been the same people. There is nothing new there. We have some dispatch changes but they have no management authority so the college desk jockey statement is false.
I have enjoyed my time here at poly and I'm still glad I moved over here. I make good money and not working hard at it either. True there been weeks i didnt get a check but its no big deal to me as in i dont live check to check. You take 2 drivers one driver gets 1 check for 52000 and the other gets 1000 for 52 weeks who made more money that year? I don't agree with everything they do but it's not my truck or company and nobody is holding me here against my will. Im just an at will driver.
