CB shop black list.

Ray b, I would i been at it a long time. Who matches the amp to the radio ?

 

Any radio shop that tunes a radio with a watt meter should be avoided. They clearly do not have the test equipment necessary to do the job correctly.

 

Look like it would be easier to mention good shops than bad shops since the usual suspects keep coming back.

I am doing business with DTB and can't complain so far, i am not after power but looking for crystal clear audio and good receive really like ssb too.

I have a radio that the previous owner bought from Bell's and it's doing the job.

 

What Is the receiver sensitivity measured in db after Dave got done tuning it?

To be honest with you i don't have a clue about that reading!

But one thing for sure is i did spend quite a few throughout the years and have done business with mulitple so called CB SHOP and DTB has been honest and sincere with me.

I have told him from day one that i don't care about big power, what i am after is good receive and crystal clear audio and that's what i got from DTB.

He "DTB" is not pushing me to buy anything that i don't need, always has been straight shooters with me.

Please don't get me wrong i understand that DTB is not for everyone but i believe if a patron is satisfied and happy with a business philosophy we are both winners.

I wish that i would know more about the electronics of the radio and honestly this is not what i like about radio, what i really like is making contact all over the world in SSB i speak 3 different languages so there is pretty much always something going on for me.

I know enough to build my own coax do a proper installation of either big or small radio that's about it.

I ran big power for years but i am now back to square one using a president lincoln 2V3 and a cobra 25 and when in the mood i play with my TS 50.

Here is something even DTB hasn't figured out yet let alone lesser technicians as well as most hams, which explains why my station works so efficiently.
