Lol ...I ride with no air and have ape hangers on one of my scooters ...don't think I'll ever do the long shifter thing ...W9..is tight enuf between seats, without having a big ### shifter to dodge .

Let's see...I ride with no air in the seat of my Volvo day cab, have "mini apes" on my Fatboy, and my paycheck hits the bank every Friday. What's the difference how we ride and make the dough???

I personally think the tall shifter is kind of cool in the right circumstance, but I wouldn't want to drive a truck equipped with one.

The tall shifter that allows you to scratch your knuckles on the headliner reminds me of a "Rat Fink" design. I've driven trucks from the late 60's to a 2011 model and find for me, a low seat hinders my field of view, gotta have it up a little ways for me DNS everyone is not the same.

The tall shifter is not my thing, i actually think it look silly, but to each is own....

Weird because it did the opposite i have cut my shifter 5" shorter, i sit way low because it's an habit and comfortable for me.

I don't like the shifter that high, I think they look stupid most of the time and even dumber when they are on a company truck.. Local roll off company has them in the trucks, I laugh when I see them...

As far as sitting low tho.. I sit low with no air in the seat.. It's not too look cool as some have suggested about "no air" riders... I do it because it's comfortable, I don't like bouncing up and down all the time especially when I have to go off-roading.. Tell me how you like having air in the seat bouncing up and down driving in a farming field and having the seat bang your head off the roof... We don't all do it because it looks cool, I bet most do it because it's more comfortable for the situation the driver is in...

Long shifters are retarded. Cool? To who? Driver is just showing off that he can stick it. Thats all.

Interesting to note that the guys "sitting low with a big stick" get in less accidents then the guys with fingerless gloves bouncing around in their seats do.. must be something to it.
