But they try by adding the trailer drops in workflow.

I don't move empties unless it's going to the shipper.

 

Still whatever way you look at it's currently more loads for us.
Why have you heard are we on the verge of losing it?

 

Probably poor service. If I remember correctly I've seen that done before with another account, they move stuff over to the IC board when it's jeopardized because apparently statistically IC's are more ... "something" ... can't remember what it was, better at ETAs, less services failures, something like that, I can't remember which.

 

We have a lot more at stake than a company driver.

While many drivers do care about doing their job well, we have incentives to provide excellent customer service. Things like keeping accounts and having SNI's freight base grow mean more.

Personally FW, I think you did the right thing, SNI really can be a PIA when it comes to liability issues.

 

If Schneider can't trust us doing high service loads they won't give them to us.
I'm not going to screw around. As long as Schneider gives us good loads I'm going to have the intention to always do the right thing even if at the moment it'll cost me a little time/money.

 

Only problem is Amazon has some screwy appointment times because of the way they run their operation. I've watched some of their loads sit on the board because they come up 12 hrs before the pickup. Yeah the rate is great but it's a d/h at a specific time and everybody is already booked out.

You just can't expect everyone to sit around waiting when other good loads are there.

 

Get used to things taking twice as long as they should.
