Step # 6 ... Can you please tell me what " the other required steps " are . Just want to make sure I get it all . Been reading a lot of stuff and it all seems to be different and the costs are all over the place .

I looked into the costs for Ks . 1,925.00 is approximate fee range . ( not sure what that means ) . 1764.50 to register truck / trailer at 85,500 lbs . Plus 35 for trailer
got that info from here https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/ohim/hwytaxes/2001/pt11b.htm Has all the states.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thanks this. -
Thanks for a wonderful read, DY. I learned quite a bit and had several concepts and work approaches confirmed.
I look forward to hearing more about your adventures.double yellow Thanks this. -
Thread seems to have slowed down, but I read all 54 pages in two days. Awesome stuff. Granted I'm Canadian so a lot of the tax deals won't apply for me, as well as other things, but I srill gleaned a lot of info.
Hope the market has picked up DY, hope the truck is still rollin on!double yellow Thanks this. -
Still rolling along nicely. Rates aren't what they were last year, but my efforts to keep costs low have helped offset that.
Trying to find the balance between sitting around all week on the phone & computer trying to book a great paying load vs running the wheels off taking ABC loads that pay adequately. At the end of the week, both seem to have a similar effect on my bank balance, but I do enjoy driving so much more than sitting...csmith1281, Grijon, Rocks and 4 others Thank this. -
Would sitting and finding a better paying load be easier on maintenance than doing three or four mediocre loads?
csmith1281 Thanks this. -
