I have no idea how that thing ever happened. It was so divorced from reality on its face, I asked my DM if the safety committee had started smoking crack.
I had called in about the worn tires. They were marginal when I got the trailer. 2400 miles later they were on the ragged edge of legal. Nursed them all the way to Spokane to save the company money too.
Equipment abuse is normally where you hit a curb and blew out a tire.
This one? I still have no idea. But it was removed from my safety jacket, which is the important thing.

Maybe the next few times you should avoid jack knifing the trailer into your parking spots at 60mph. Adds a little longevity to the tire life.

To quote a frequent saying on my trainer's truck: "FREAKIN AIR FORCE!"

    Banished to Siberia then.

Or as one guy put it, "I feel like I've been put in solitary out there."

It really is a good place to work... As long as they don't go installing cameras to look in on the drivers I would say they are a great place. My last year there I ran a dedicated Kaiser gig up and down I-5 hauling a conestoga . It was nice to be home all the time but the pay wasn't that great. When I was OTR the money was good. I miss running all 48

Having a bit of a freakout.
My ACTUAL pay on light duty is going to be $596 per week plus the hotel. I normally gross $1200+.

They calculate my rate based on the last year, which includes my training pay for 8 weeks, plus 2 weeks unpaid due to being out with the kidney infection.
So, I'm basically stuck here at $15 an hour, doing nothing. But, the hotel is a significant benefit too.

My freakout is that the "pulled" tendon is acting more like RIPPED tendon, which will be MONTHS to heal, not weeks. So far, no improvement at ALL. Can't do crap with left hand without pain. Drove home for the weekend (3 hours) and it was very ungood in terms of pain. Having this nightmare scenario unfold in my head that I won't even be able to be a door-opener (reefer) much less do flatbed.

I've worked so darned hard to get into my truck, learn my trade, etc. Now it feels like my body is betraying me. Like I said, kinda freaking out. I don't have a PLAN b. This is it.

They make these people called Doctors, you should see one.

Healing at our age can take a long time; I've had 2 (sciatica(49), bursitis(51)) injuries that took over 2 months to heal. They both had their good/bad days during the process.

    Hang in there!
