so we have a good driver that has become what I can only call institutionalized
he is home in Green Bay with his wife in his Impala and they went to Subway for lunch
As much as I hate guns I want to use Choppers to put the poor guy out of his misery:mad:
at least everytime he goes to work his wife fills the fridge

Hurry up and wait. That's the only thing that frustrates me about this company. Everything else I like.......but get empty between 2100-0900 and you sit. Nothing happens in the cube farm overnight.

Got up and finally had an empty this morning but then what? Where to wait? Sit in Charlotte traffic and wait with the drive line ticking away or sit at the yard off duty and wait. Pretty easy choice to go ahead and leave and beat the traffic but still sit here and wait now that I'm here.

It's something many of us have discussed with higher ups but they just aren't listening. Hard to maximize your clock some weeks when they aren't set up to allow it.

Plenty of loads on the line ready to go. Plenty of backhauls staged. Yet nobody is there that can make a decision until 0900 and 22 of us sitting here waiting. They've known where I was going to be and when for 14hrs to not have a plan is uncalled for.

I don't like to wait. Especially with the clock running and plenty of work here to do. When I'm ready to go by God you should be too lol

First come, first served. Waiting to back into the dock/building area. No word on what's next. They've known I'll be here for 2 days.

Gotta back into the door. This aught to be fun

Got to the receiver, which is Barilla in Avon, NY. Put me in a door right away but I had to open my doors before backing in. Normally you back in doors closed but since I have a whale tail, they had the security guard verify the seal and product. He told me they do that when a trailer has the rear fins, as they've had drivers back in with them closed only to have one pop open as he backed in and bust.

believe it or not, they ARE BUSY in the office...they are making coffee, they are reading the morning newspaper, they are looking over the donuts and danish each one wished to pick, but first must touch every one of them, they are busy talking about what was on tv last night, and the funny commercials they saw.

so you see, they ARE BUSY, with thier things to do and get done....FIRST.............

    lol
