EB rest area on 40 outside Claremont.

Had a stunningly mediocre day. 45 miles short of getting back to the yard. Told them when I called in empty if they hadn't wasted 2hrs of my morning I'd have made it back with time to spare.

Planned back to Tampa tomorrow for a 2200 drop which I won't make because I sat twiddling my thumbs waiting on them this morning. Already made the call. They can't say tomorrow I didn't tell them 28hrs ahead of time it wasn't gonna get there.

I had a suspicion that place wasn't that good for parking either... IMHO there's no good place to park in that area... :biggrin_25512:

I usually stop at or go back to Baytown unless there's some reason I need to be in that close. There is a Super 8 at the Homestead exit that has truck parking spots. I've parked there for an hour or two for a Whataburger feast after getting the ok from the front desk first. They might let you stay there for a few bucks if you need to stay longer than that. Never tried or needed to.

A bus load of old people are tying up everything here at the Love's. If I'm old enough to take one of those senior outings, somebody shoot me.

Last weekend I parked at that truck stop in Watkins, CO... a few miles east on I-70 but much MUCH better than those Zoos in Aurora... If I definitely had to park in the Aurora area, and couldn't find a place at that Walmart, I would park on a street I found the other day when I delivered a load in that area... Sometimes trucks park there overnight...
