Mexican bus lines go by class.
Luxury: 24 wide seats, lavatory with flushing toilets, on board meal, snack bar, movies, pillows for each passenger, air conditioned, window curtains, driver compartment is usually sealed off from the passenger compartment. Usually only stop in big cities, most runs are overnight.
1st class: Similar to what Greyhound offers, most have on board movies and some sort of on board bathroom. Air conditioned. Most Mexicans travel on 1st class buses. Usually stops everywhere.
2nd class: Usually running 2nd hand 1st class buses. May or may not have bathroom or movies Air conditioning usually installed but not always functioning. Most Mexican buses have opening windows so non working AC isn't a big deal since many Mexicans don't have it in their cars. They stop every 5 feet, lol.
3rd class. Usually retired US school buses or Mexican market truck chassis buses. Never air conditioned. You may be sharing a seat with livestock. Usually serve regional areas, you hardly ever see a long distance 3rd class bus.chopper103in, sshewins, RedForeman and 2 others Thank this. -
Wow that was a trip down memory lane mentioning that iPaq phone. I looked it up on-line to refresh my memory and now remember having two back then. The first was one of the 22xx models with the stubby phone antenna on top. One of the first PDA's that was cellular capable. The later one was one of the Blackberry look a likes. At the time, that sort of phone was very rare. Now I'm looking at how crude it is compared to my current phone LOL.
double yellow and sshewins Thank this. -
Since we're talking about parking in Texas, thought I'd add to that. Those of you looking for a place to park other than the truck stop might want to check out the property outside of Ceva Dallas. The address is 2001 W Airfield-Braniff Dr Dallas, TX. It's a dirt lot with plenty of parking for trucks. Always see trucks out there parked. Right next to the airport. Grapevine, TX is nearby so plenty of good places to shop/eat if you get a Uber.
The Super 8 nearby in Grapevine has truck parking. Don't think it's theirs but see trucks parked there all the time. Puts you within walking distance of all the shopping. Those of you who can use personal time(line 5) or bobtail.....the Pilot in Fort Worth is within 15 minutes.
Martin Winterkorn(ceo of VW) has quit. Getting interesting Mr. @HeWhoMustNotBeNamed
Delivered around 6pm at Ceva Dallas. Waiting on our load going back to Groveport, OH.Last edited: Sep 23, 2015
