A real company does not care about varifiable for hiring it will start you at a lower pay scale but where I work if you say you can drive and you have a reference saying you drove on and off then they will see in 5 min if you can drive. Pitty you should have to start at the bottom. Well good luck

I have not been told that I wished I had known. Every place I checked into back lets say going on 2yrs ago said I had to have driving experience that was verifiable in the last 1yr to 2. Then when I checked a few months ago I was very surprised they said 3 months 6months ect.... and now it seems if you have your CDL and are clean they have so many options for drivers.

    Thanks for the input !!!

    The rules have changed...

In order to get the extra pay for driving hours, you have to do at least 50 per week. Otherwise it is straight minimum wage.

Of course... During the mentor phase you should be wanting to get it done, and spending every available minute behind the wheel.

Swift has been great to me. I'm six months in and pretty friggin happy.

Your going to get alot of negative feedback from these forums.
Truth is that it is up to you, ask alot of questions, find out what options exists in your area, get direct contacts. Make some calls, be professional, and you can get some great opportunities.

I personally like the fact I did not have to spend $200 to buy a camera. I would not do this job without one...

But alot of people hate them...

Not sure why it is funny.

Got one on my motorcycle, got one in my truck.

Something goes down on my bike... The other guy may go to prison or lose their financial future.

Something goes down in my truck, I walk away with a clear record.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

that is why it is funny. You choose to have 1 on your bike. Thats your choice. In your truck you are not given the choice.. If you want the camera good for you.. But to phrase it as if you had any say in the matter is well quite humorous.

He had a say in the matter. He chose the company with the knowledge that the camera would be there. Hubby hasn't had one put in his truck yet, and he isn't much of a fan of the idea, but he has a choice as to what he will do when that time comes. He may not like the choices, but they still exist.

I understand that.. But having a say meaning you can either quit or have a camera in your truck is really not much of a say.. My point was that the company was putting the camera he did not have a say in the matter except for to quit.. :)

The guy you are talking to that likes the camera, is fairly new and chose swift knowing they had driver facing cams. :)
