Hello everyone! I've been searching these threads to find some answers but I've had no luck so am just going to post.
My husband is out of the Marine Corps now and has hit a rut with being an o/o. His current broker of which he has dedicated UPS loads with has left him high and dry after the contract got rebid and isn't doing anything to help supplement loads. I am looking for resources/ decent brokers to get him up and going again. However with it just being us, I don't have any resources to turn to for help in this industry. Sorry for being such a newbie and if this is in the wrong thread I will remove.
Any information at all is greatly appreciated.
-Thanks
New and looking for advice

Hello, so your husband is already an owner operator so he has all of his plates insurance etc etc? Do you have your own trailers or what is he hauling reefer, flatbed, dry van, tanker?... What endorsements does he currently have? Hazmat, Tanker, combination trailers?? I am asking simply because this information will get you more detailed and better advice and direction.. Does your husband have his own authority and what part of the country is he looking to run in. I know you mentioned he was hauling mostly dedicated UPS which I am assuming means dry van and pulling UPS trailers... So if you can supply answers then you can get a much better idea of which direction to turn along with some advice on avenues you and your husband have yet to consider..

Thanks for the responses everyone!
We are located in Kansas City MO, looking to run the Midwest. He has all base plates and all that. Really ready to run just looking for some steady work. He owns 1 trailer and has doubles and triples endorsements but no hazmat, so really just dryvan.
We were looking at leasing but the pay doesn't seem great, most local listings here are under $1 a mile.
I have heard of the load boards but I don't have much experience in that we've always used this one broker to get him loaded. -
