Roll of duct tape, bungee cords, at least a ten pound hammer, a good screwdriver, flashlight, slip joint pliers, roll of electrical tape. Keep it simple.

Duct tape and a rubber mallet is all we used in the corps, so I make do.

hammer, and a big F*&^%($ hammer for when things are cold.

It depends on the trailer type you are hauling. I'd guess O/Os carry more tools than a company guy.
In tanking I carry a basic tool kit, a rubber mallet, mini bolt cutters, duct tape, clean rags, rubber bungee cords, flashlight, knife, and fittings, plugs and straps for the hoses. -
Blunt wraps, syringes, rubber tourniquet, tinfoil, screens, steel wool, glass pipe......And a big ol' bag of Dr. Feelgood's best Rx!
