Oh well, I wonder how well he is going to do with those container guys out of that area. Some of those boys are high strung like you wouldn't believe. -

And once again, trash gets dumped in Reno. Maybe they are hoping the Johnny Cash song will come true or something.
I remember a zillion years ago going into the office when it was the old office and finding two people in it and desks in pieces all over the place because someone kicked it apart. And these where the office workers LOL -

Idk why but I always love Reno. Granted I never drive for knight but when I was a swifty I liked it. And I like the Petro there

Reno used to be one of the hardest city's to get out of. Usually brought in a Sherwin-Williams paint load from the Bay area (w/no place to scale load until AFTER the DOT scales on I80) and often had to wait a couple days until getting a load out---usually one of the loads from the pet food plant east of Sparks. Challenge there tho was getting an MT trailer (out of the dirt drop yard across from the Alamo) 'clean enuf' for them to accept as a swap out for a load going east to get back home to Phx.
Knight started dispatching out of Reno a year or 2 b4 I left in 2008, and I remember having a run-in with a dispatcher there who was known thru out the co. to be an a-hole (dont remember the details about but remember him being unreasonable and couldnt care less about getting me out of there!)
When I left in 2008, most loads out were from the Kmart DC going to CA---there are certain stretches of road a driver learns to hate---I80 Reno-to-Sacramento was one of mine, esp in the winter, i.e. Donner Pass).
As far as a town (biggest little city in the US), I liked the Reno/Sparks area (altho in the winter could pile up some snow, esp. in the 'valley' north of town)..Last edited: Nov 20, 2015

Heading to Houston next. I parked at the Indy yard last night and it was full. So I parked in the back area where the Covenant trailers were. The guard came and told me I had to move. Even though we had no spaces he said to move. So I parked behind the shop by the sale trucks. He came again telling me to move. I told him I ain't moving. And if you want it moved you'll need to call a tow truck. The tow truck never came. Jerk.

Not being familiar with the area I was in I would politely ask, "Well, where can I park?" The answer was always the same, "I dont know, but you cant park HERE!"
