Ceva changed our pick up time to 3pm from Dallas so that messed up getting to Chicago in time to do the road tests. Guess I'll deliver this then go to bed. Sigh ! Picking up at 8pm then heading to Memphis, TN.

Came over to Comfort to grab a shower. I looked over and saw a wrecker backed up to a truck. Figured another day, another dollar, another broke down Freightliner.

But then I noticed they aren't doing anything. They are all just standing there with the wrecker not hooked up.

Just then a County Mountie rolls in.

I realized the one guy standing in the way must be the driver preventing the truck from being hooked.

I think it must either be a repossession or the driver balked at the rate quoted and the tow operator wants his "drop fee".

As I went in a second County Mountie arrived.

Question. You keep calling her your 'better half' and 'fiancé', but you're indicating you don't want to get married. Or am I missing something here. Just curious

I call her my better half because quite literally that is what she is to me.

So, I'm sorry for any confusion, but I do use them interchangeably.

I have a difficult time explaining our logic, but the shortest version is that we do not wish to make the same mistakes our parents made.

Ever since I've known her, and of course ever since she has known me, we have had a long distance relationship. So, to compound things we don't have a daily interaction with the other aside from texts, Skype, or old-fashioned snail mail. By prematurely tying ourselves together when neither of us has spent any extensive time with the other, just doesn't seem wise.

It's also important to consider that until you have a greencard, you can be deported.

Lastly, however not as important, it is admittedly an ego thing for the both of us. We are both very independent people and do not like to know another, or rely upon another person for a task that we feel that we are not only capable of, but should do.

There are a handful of other factors at play, however I cannot state them as they are between her and I only.

If none of that makes a lick of sense to you...don't worry, you won't be the first and likely won't be the last. We are both strangely logical, but not foolish enough to not come to a compromise about it. We both want to settle down soon with the other. Just trying to do it the best and wisest way we know how.
