In Feb 2016 you still have a $400 rand gps that doesn't work.

Make sure you keep it updated with the latest patches. Other than that, my experience is that it will crap-out on you when you first start it. Unplug it and let it restart, usually it works fine after doing that 1-2 times.

NEVER let it charge all the way up, because when it crashes on you, it crashes HARD. Can't even restart it with the buttons on back. I unplug it every night for that reason.

When it works, which is most of the time, it's fantastic. The problem I've had is it's crqashing a LOT.

 

I unplug mine anytime I'm not using it. Yes, this includes my 10. I do this because when it REALLY craps out, you can't reset it, so you could be hours without it if your'e waiting for the battery charge to run out.

You can update it with any wifi connection. I personally use my phone as a hotspot and do it that way or wait til I take a 34 in a hotel and use theirs. Every three-weeks+ should work for you.
