    Hi all,

10 years ago, I started at a local CDL school, in Freeland, MI. with plans to go to Gainey Transport, or USA Truck. Well i got detoured, and those plans never happened. USA Truck is no longer on my radar, but Super Service is. I live 3 miles from the Lexington, SC Terminal, and briefly visited there during a drive around of the area, just to see some of the equipment. It was closed at the time. I really like the new look of the trucks, vs the old Gainey colors, too. I have yet to call a recruiter, but wanted to get some insight from any current drivers, about whether this is a good company to get my start with. I have looked through their website, read reviews on indeed, and a few other places too. Overall, there seem to be more positive, than negative reviews, so this has me thinking it may be good. As far as home time goes, if I can manage to do 10 to 14 days out, and 3 or 4 days home, that would be nice, but not a deal breaker if it doesn't happen. Also, with my family in Michigan, I would think it easy to sometimes route me up there for my 34hr reset. And lastly, I was unable to find any information about a rider and or pet policy. Any information is greatly appreciated.

The industry norm seems to be 2 days off for staying out 10-14 days

    thanks

my wife says she will "allow" me to do any but the 21/4 HAHA! But she knows how it works, several of her family are drivers. I noticed that some of the trucks in the Lexington terminal looked like lightweights. Is this typical? or a Dedicated thing? This also leads me to another question, when I am home, would i still be able to park my truck there? or is it specifically for dedicated trucks? It seems a little silly that with a secure facility less than 10 miles away, I would still park at my home. Or would I have to park at Ellenwood, and commute?

Trucks are normal as seen at other companies, Cascadia and pro star most common. Volvo on the way out. Park or overnight there anytime you want by any SS driver.
