Yep. I was with them 4 years and also quit because of the cameras. I was on a dedicated account that I really liked too.

Honestly you grasping at straws. Even tho I have no dog in this fight. Enjoing my retirement, and driving my Harley Davidson. Will be going to Kiwi country next month Visiting friends.

When the light is flashing red it is saving what it's recording so I see that you're jumping on me instead of using saving and/or record . when it's a steady red light it's transmitting the save clips to home base. And my above statement is correct it's constantly recording but only saving and transmitting the event critical or bump in the road or when a strong wind pushes the truck ECT.

But like I said could careless enjoying my retirement.

The camera is always saving a file.
It saves small files, probably 10 seconds long, and they are there until overwritten with a newer file.
The amount of time saved depends on how much storage the camera has. Even 2GB of space will be enough to store about 20 minutes of video, and I believe we were told that they have 8GB.

There is a separate partition/folder where the 'event' files are copied to and stored, and those files will not be overwritten until after they have been uploaded.

The cams that swift getting/have store 1 1/2 hr before it rewrites over. 20sec clips it saves...... Most of the time they call home/ download the save files around 2359 or when home base calls them to download.

As far as I know they are on all the new trucks.
I don't know if they are being installed on any older OTR trucks.

Someone post here a while back their truck was broken into and driver was shot

If the camera could catch the perpetrator who did this that would be one good thing

But that is few and far between

That's a big if, though, right? If the cameras are only saving when an incident happens, then that footage would quickly be over written, unless the driver could somehow trigger it to save that footage.
