This lawsuit has taken a fair amount of time, and it sounds like the attorneys have decided to settle without going to trial. I just received a letter to update everyone on the case, and it looks like the final settlement hearing will take place in SLC on September 19, 2015.

Although I would prefer to see CR England get hit by more than a $5,000,000.00 expense, maybe this will still serve as a lesson for them..... but we probably shouldn't hold our breath to wait and see if that dream comes true.

I remember getting something in the mail about this class action lawsuit along time ago.

They were wanting to be paid for the training they did before getting their cdl or even their permit.
In most real world cases, people pay three to five thousand dollars for training to get their cdl.

I think you're right, because a $5,000,000 financial hit like this for CRE isn't much for those rich folks to swallow and just keep doing business as usual. IMO, the amount of this so-called settlement is way too low and I'd prefer to see it go to trial with hopes of approaching a $20,000,000 hit to CRE. Until they take a major hit, nothing major will change at that company... and that's not a good thing for the trucking industry.

It will be interesting to hear what happens TODAY when this case goes to court out in SLC at 3:00 pm. With a little luck, CRE will get a major spanking by the court...

My settlement check was just delivered to my house yesterday, and it was for a bit more than what I expected to receive for this case. With a little luck, the CR England bosses and lousy managers/staff have learned a lesson from this $5,000,000.00 financial hit.

Happy New Year to everyone who has dealt with the CR England BS over the years!!!

i got my CDL back in 2012? i think? hell if i know.
i got it when i applied to CRST, i quit on the 1st day cuz the trainer. . . heh yeah that trainer made a 1st impression was too much for me. After that CRST got sued and i got a check for $170, actually let me google that
some time in either 2012 or 2013 is when i got my CDL but i never let my CDL go, every time the DMV sent me something about my license i took care of it
i thought that was funny cuz before CRST got sued they said i owed them tons of money for the schooling and hotel and whatnot and "collections" called me about it some time later maybe 5-7 months later i got that check. . . Thank you CRST ;) hahahahah
