That motel was a dump in the 80's and has not improved with age. There are more motels in the area and several much closer to Swift. They should be ashamed to put anyone in that dump.

Go West about 3 miles to Avondale Blvd, there are a couple new hotels right off the 10 where all the Nascar transporters stay-so it can't be bad.

Many of the experienced drivers go to Goodyear and stay at the Quality Inn. Swift gets a large discount there and when your truck is in the shop and have to go to hotel or at a dealer there this is where they send you.

Well in the positive light if you need a hooker or some dope you don't have far to go.

Your stoned out of your mind if you consider many of these drivers to be safe drivers. For starters they should have looked at what they are getting into if they are that unsure.
NOBODY is worse at passing or lane changing or not dimming their high beams than SWIFT.
    NOBODY.

I've watched football at two separate t/s's with three different SWIFT drivers. All were likable guys. The one guys tractor had multiple nicks and dings on it, I saw it. All three told everyone in the lounge as everyone discussed various topics, " Drivers I won't lie to you, I've flat torn some #### UP !! "
That's called honesty, that earns respect.
I've set up two guys trailers that were heavily loaded in the last week, neither had tools or flashlights, one didn't know exactly how to slide his tandems, each one took minutes, both were astonished, so I am equally guilty of contributing to keeping these guys on the road. Just like the guys we watched football with, they were likable, and it was the Christian thing to do.

    I take exception to that.

If i am slowly coming up on a truck with traffic coming up on me, I will slow down until I have a clear distance to pass.

I change lanes slowly and smoothly.

I dim my high beams as soon as I see oncoming lights.

I also don't use my high beams to flash a passing truck. I use the dim switch.
I really hate getting the high beams when I look over to see if I have enough room, and I never do that to other drivers.

I also slow down a couple miles per hour when a slightly faster truck is passing me, just to make it easier for that driver. I can spare that extra couple seconds of my very valuable time.
