Interesting, tho....

 

Two things to remember, one is not to leave it plugged into the inverter, it can die.

the second is to keep some way to keep it secured and to smooth out the vibrations and shocks.

 

I use an electric tea kettle, and french press, I was thinking the single cup coffee maker would be more convenient. I use electric kettle to make soup (the noodle in a cup type) , boil eggs

 

Get a keurig that doesn't have the reservoir, its what I got , its s maller

 

I have the single cup kuerig also. It works really great. I love having a cup, with out the hassle of going in to get it. The single cup will brew about as long as it takes me to get dressed. I have a 3000 watt inverter(Harbor freight) it handles the coffee pot and microwave easily.

 

Thing with the K system is it brews a 6oz cuppa joe. Being a coffee dawg... not enough for me. And brewing one after the other is a hassle.

I've had a pot in the truck for years now. I've had a K cup. I've had a fancy big dollar brewer (100$ and lasted 4mos. Junk!) I've found I like the tiny 4 cup college dorm type pots. They're cheap, easily replacable from wally world, don't take any fancy pods or cups and I can use any of my snooty tooty coffee I get in the mail.

I use a 2500w inverter, only plug it in when I need it, and it fits great in the cupboards. As for stability, a bit of duralock velcro will keep it upright and stored nice n tight. But you can still pull it out to clean it.

As with any open brew system using filters, I don't recommend brewing while driving. The hot water sloshes around and you get grounds in your brew. So teams beware of that.

Truck stop coffee? Oh heck no. Nasty!!!

Best 80 bucks I have ever spent...
Fresh coffee every time for a fraction of the cost. The way you see it in the picture is the way I carried it. Never had any issues. On mine you put 12Oz. of water every time you use it, I figure if I had the one that has a water reservoir the water would spill.

Any suggestions on where to get a good affordable power inverter? We need to get one to hold us over until we can replace the generator on our apu. I'm thinking 3000w would be ideal for our needs.
