615 in a governed truck is a pretty good grind imo
TB John and Captain Zoom Thank this. -
That's why I was so loopy last night. I really need a butt cushion. Ow.
Dominick253 and 25(2)+2 Thank this. -
I had a hard time with the seat when I first got it, but I adjusted it with the cushion back and the angle up, and that helped it. Running long miles in an expeditious manner is still physically painfull for me, but it's not confined to my backside. Kind of an all over fatigue thing for me. You can run a long ways legally if you go by the clock and ignore time of day.
I'm guessing by the miles your truck is a 2012 or 2013, and the FL seats are similar, although the better models do have more features. The seat adjustments are covered in the manual unless your truck would have aftermarket installed, possibly from the factory. I have seen Sears seats in new FLs waiting to be delivered.Captain Zoom Thanks this. -
I've played with the adjustments every which way over the last month. I've finally got it to the least uncomfortable position with the seat bottom and back angled to distribute the weight more evenly across my buttocks/thighs/back without cutting off circulation. Actually pretty nice for the first 1-2 hours. The problem is the same as sitting in an Adirondack chair--great position but with no cushion it hurts after a while.
Gonna hit the Target to see if they have a cushion. Also might start complaining more aggressively to Gordon about it. Nothing worse than knowing you still have 350 miles to go and you have Iron Butt. -
Lottery up to $1.3 BILLION. Would you keep on truckin'?
I might, but on radically different terms.TB John Thanks this. -
Welllll... The 29 year lump sum would pay out the equivalent of making about $22 million/week. After paying 60% taxes off the top. For 29 years. So, no--I guess I could find ways to keep myself occupied.
Dominick253, Daria and TB John Thank this. -
Daria and Captain Zoom Thank this.

I will never understand the mindset that tolerates a substandard seat it is just too important to a decent ride. plus it is a minor expense to have a quality seat 600 - 800 bucks every 2 or 3 years pays off in a better attitude because of comfortable bunns
Dominick253, apyles and Captain Zoom Thank this. -
Lunch at Little America. Maybe showers too if they're not overly expensive--might be worth the money to avoid another stop later. Depends.
