Come on, that is just terrible advice that you keep giving. Usually, worst case scenario, a lawyer can get it pled down to a ten to fourteen over on a plea bargain. That leaves the driver still marketable in the CDL world. By pleading guilty to a 26 over, his only hope of being near a big truck is by working the loading dock.

71 in a 45.
91 in a 65.
...
I hope you lose your license and never drive again.
That goes for CDL or anything lower.skootertrashr6, ttyson and dog-c Thank this. -
26 over is handcuffs and a ride in a police cruiser in NY for sure

All these people trying to 'help' this person get off.
Get a lawyer, or some other help.
?
This person is reckless!
Do any of you understand what 26 over the speed limit really means?
???
Would any of you want this insane person running through your street at 51 when the limit is 25?
SMACK!!! There goes another kid. But no big deal, just find the right lawyer.
71 in a 45?
Can it really get better?
I guess he could take out a bus or something.
But wait. Just find the right lawyer.skootertrashr6, lagbrosdetmi and dog-c Thank this. -
Moose it's always going to be the curse of the happy go lawyers as long as they make 500-1000 a day working the court system - so yeah as long as you can pay for the crime who cares

Yep @Moosetek13, I am one of the ones trying to give him advice to save his career. I have no idea how old this person is or their personal history, but I am suspecting a lot younger than me. Sure, I know better, and have never been caught for such stupidity. But I can't say that back in my very young days I did a lot of idiotic things, just never got caught.
I truly understand all of ya'll that want to play the put your big boy pants on or hang him from the highest tree card. But I bet if most of you knew this individual personally, you would be trying to help him and not kick him while his is down.
And please, do not think in any-way-shape-or-form that I am a pro-lawyer kind of guy. If I was in a jam, I would use a lawyer, just like many use a CPA to keep them from getting in a jam.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Then I would say...
At the least, take away the CDL for at least 5 years.
I was a speed demon in my younger years too.
Never got popped for 26 over, but I might have if...
(130 in a 65 along a long stretch in ID headed to Boise in that old Oldsmobile, just to see what she would do... just to name one time. And I actually found out that it got better gas mileage at the higher speeds.)
Heck, I had 13 speeding tickets before I turned 18.
But, as I said, that was way back then - and I didn't have a CDL.
It would not have been wise for me to have had a CDL back then.
I was too reckless.
The OP does not need to beat the ticket; the OP needs time to grow out of the reckless phase.GenericUserName and GoneButNotForgotten Thank this. -
