Log book question

    But there is a very specific law about logging and on-duty work. If he simply parked, got in a car and went to a casino, sure log off duty. He's not doing that though, he's getting out of the truck and still working. No different than if he parked at the company warehouse and went inside and started pulling parts, it's all on-duty time for the logs.

    Correct. I know it is on duty not driving I was just a bit confused on the moving around in a car going to different cities when I logged the status changes.

    Not really, won't be elogs in the car, I can't believe anyone wouldn't just go off duty and roll in the car.

    The original question dealt with ethics and legal issues....not a question of "can I get away with it?"!

    Its nothing to do with getting away with anything. The question want posed as an ethical or moral problem.it really about common accepted practices.
