Hotel. Better than a bunkhouse, if you ask me.
Like the others have said, starting pay is .58/mile which is really nice. Average miles in Indy for extra board linehaul varies week to week, but 2500 is a safe bet. I generally get around 27-2800, and have had 3000 before. I'll be low on miles this week because no freight Monday night, and I was shut down last night due to weather. I'm scheduled out tonight though, and even being two days short I'll have close to 2000 miles on the week.
Keep us posted, and good luck.

Thanks Nap!
If all goes well, I'll be in Indy next week (hopefully Monday).. Can't wait!xlsdraw Thanks this. -
So have you made it in to visit Indy yet? Enjoy the sights, schmooze the people, ignore the panhandlers begging on the ramps within sight of at least three different companies all currently hiring at $15+ an hour.

My only concern coming down is, I can only stay one week and I know that OD has a long hiring process. I hope I could get an interview in within that time frame. Wish me luck! -
I can only speak for my experience at OD HAR but I did most of the application process from my laptop and phone. By the time I sat down for the interview, I was practically hired. I had to go out with a trainer for three days but that was pretty much it.

Idk why Indy has so many hoops to jump over -
Indy does like to make things difficult. It took about 3 months from the time I turned in my app until I actually started. Granted it was over the holidays and some of the time was spent waiting for corporate approval and working the two weeks notice I gave to my previous employer, but c'mon. Still worth it though.

Anyways, do you think they will call me once this freeze is over? Or do you think I'll need to keep checking for open positions and start the process over? I was really looking forward to the opportunity and am still in desperate need of a good job, so I was pretty devastated by it, but I am still hopeful they will call me once the weather warms up.
Any info you could give me would be much appreciated, Thanks.TequilaSunrise Thanks this. -
Are you in Indy Gabe??
