That's alot of questions, it will be better if you call a recruiter. They should be able to get you some answers.

Haha lots of questions. Sounds like he's interested in car hauling. I'm sure if you hauled from Lincoln to Jackson that they would give you a back haul out of Canton. I don't work for Hansen so I can't help much. Truck are generally utilized the best they can be which is as little deadhead as possible so you would probably reload at the closest terminal. That's the way we do anyway.

That's exactly right. You are usually sent to the closest shipper we have for a reload if they have the freight.

Your right it is and I did not expect you to answer them all,but after reading this thread.I know there would be other people interested in some of my questions instead of when somebody is going to train in Jacksonville or how long it takes to get an application approved or what the names of the trainers are or if the trainers pay for lunch.Which is mostly all Ive learned so far.Everyone on here likes to get the drivers take on whats good about a company, why they are doing what they do or how they do it.Maybe someone seeing this thread that is a H&A driver would like to give us their take if you don't want to.It would be more interesting than listening to a recruiter talk up his company.

Well I read this thread and it really doesn't tell anyone much of anything.Looks like their are some drivers on here that could let us learn about their experiences.I work for a shipper we only backhaul supplies for our plant so we dead head 90% of the time. Its nothing for me to deadhead 500 miles back to the plant and get paid as if I were loaded. If you read this thread all the way through you will see it don't tell you much about Hansen & Adkins.Just sayin

Sorry I can't help more but I don't work for Hansen. I can help with general questions but not company specific one. If I can answer anything I will. Your are asking the right questions, that's why I said that it looks like you want to be a car hauler. Wish I could answer more

To answer some of your questions. This is my experince and may not be company wide. H&A seems to be a laid back company. If I need off I take off. Vacation is one week after one year, two weeks after two year, and it continues to build up. We get 3 paid sick days and 9 paid holidays I think. For the most part, 95% of the time, I dictate what I run. Meaning I pick my runs out of what's available. I've got certain areas I like to run that gets me home when I need to. Benefits seem to be good. I'm on my wife's health insurance, so they pay me $60 per week for not using theirs. As far as pay, percentage is good as long as your not dead heading all over the place. I try to reload at the closest place I can as soon as possible. We get skid drop, reload, and yard skid pay. We get delay and breakdown pay if approved. We don't get paid when we get our trucks serviced, which I don't agree with. All in all I've been happy here since I signed on. Theres money to be maid here if you want to make it. It's not a perfect company, but show me one that is. Maybe I answered some of your questions

Hey I'm not trying to be aggravating.I read a lot of threads on here.I do flatbed oversize freight for a major steel company.Thats what I know. But I was reading another thread on here where a guy was asking drivers to give him advice on 3 car hauling companies Usal,Cooper and somebody else. And this thread here has potential to help people that want to learn a drivers view on Hansen&Adkins.Thats why I broke my questions up and didn't just write a book on things to ask a Hansen driver and I interested in the company

I'm a road driver out of a railyard. Sometimes I run out of our yard and sometimes I don't. I also live within 3 hours of four production plants. So I pick my loads according to who has freight and where I want to go. I think if you run out of a plant, your more dedicated to that customer, but will still backhaul and run other locations when you can.
