There's a truck wash at the Pilot at I-24 x81 in the Murf. They seem to keep bankers hours though. And that Pilot is a horrible nightmare. It's the epitome of Anti-Feng Shui (if that is a thing).

Nope. Sorry. They're all automatics though so plenty of floor space.

    Dominick253 and jn1427 Thank this.

Was told I could check in a day early. So I did, about three hours ago. Shipper said yes I can check in whenever I want but the load won't be ready til the original appointment time. He laughed. I laughed. The security guy laughed. I shot the clerk. It was a good time.

Spending the night at a nearby Wal-Mart then moving to a side street near a small Subway tomorrow, will check in again right after lunch. They let me leave the trailer, at least.

Somebody needs to take some communication classes. Not sure who--our CSR, my dispatcher, or their traffic clerk. But "You can check in today" is a long way from "The load is ready now."

Trick knee bugging me again. Never did find that proper cane. Might have to give up and order one and pick it up when I'm in town. #### things are expensive. They're out there, but one the way I want it really costs.

Some time ago I found a guy in CA who will do up an iron cane. That's a real thing in Chinese martial arts. This guy makes props for movie studios. His Iron Cane is actually powder coated stainless steel with a slightly grainy finish to simulate sand cast iron without the rust headaches. He'll make one to my exact specifications. Even put the rubber tip on the end.

    For $1600.00.

For $2800.00 he'll make me an honest to goodness Iron Fan. Also made of 440 stainless.

Ox Tail Knives he stocks, so they're just $250.00. These are real, not the cheap lightweight aluminum or spring steel exhibition pieces you see at karate tournaments. These are used in fight sequences and have to stand up to the abuse.

Must note that the prices are over four years old and may have changed now.

Also, I cannot for the life of me find the $@&#!! web site. I can't remember the name of the business or the site or anything except he was based in Hollywood and supplied movie studios world wide with medieval Chinese weaponry.

Hot Chick thinks he's gone now and the site taken down. After all, it doesn't get much more niche market than that.

I think I'm gonna start haunting antique malls and stores when the season starts. Maybe military surplus--the old GI issued "Cane, walking, wood, rubber tipped" was stout enough to stop a Willys.

Hehehe...I got your Willys right here. B-)

Spent the night at Wal-Mart. Load ready at 1600 so I'll slide over there around 1400 and sniff around. Due in Tulsa Monday morning. Preplan picks up in AR and delivers in OH, so I'll stop through the Indy shop on the way, or else go after. We'll be able to check our mail while in town and hopefully our tax stuff will be there and we can get that blank blankety-blank tax organizer done. I think I'm going to fire ATBS once my taxes are done. They've been okay when I was leasing, but on the company side it's just a pain. And their service has gone downhill. Also, I'm paying them monthly to do nothing, and at the end if the year I get to go through and tally up all my own receipts and do all my own math.

I don't go to Outback and pay for the privilege of cooking my own meal....

Do fish snore? Do fat fish snore worse? How does a fish CPAP work? Maybe sharks are fish DOT and that's why they eat mostly fat fish.

Got to see Kung Foo Panda 3 recently. Worth the movie ticket. Usually animated sequels are straight to video, and for good reason. They managed to get everybody back from the original--even Jackie Chan (who had more than three lines of dialogue this time).

I'm getting the trilogy box set when it comes out.

45 degrees out right now. And sunny. The Hot Chick is absorbing the solar power and wishes not to be disturbed. She will grow angry when I move the truck in a minute. But I have to get over to the shipper. I hope I can find her another sunbeam when we get there.

I have chocolate to throw at her when she begins to growl. I hope it's enough to get me safely over to the shipper.
