Actually, they can say if you want to participate in the fuel tax program, you have to use our fuel card. That is perfectly legal. You can chose to opt out of that and get your own card, but you have to file your own fuel taxes.

There is nothing illegal about what he was told.

 

Swift reporting shootings on us 75 north of Tulsa between 106th and 156th streets. Someone taking pot shots at semi trucks. 1 swift and 8 Walmart trucks hit in transit since Sunday night. Happening overnight.

Since allot of us use that route to Ochelata figured a heads up is needed.

 

It was the main subject of discussion here at the yard. They are targeting Wal-Mart trucks and trailers. The Swift truck was pulling a Wal-Mart trailer.

My DM told me about it and the first thing I asked was why doesn't management send out a fleet message? No one could answer that.

 

Yeah... They act like a fleet message would cost them money or something. But they sure are Jonny on the spot about sending me the "you could have saved money" message when I fueled at Loves today...

 

Two 14 yr old boys admit to "target practice" shooting at Wal-Mart trucks in Tulsa.

I am perplexed. Why do they give me a 7am appointment and they don't open till 730 am smh.

 

Doesn't say much about how their parents raised them.

Same thing when they give 6am and they don't open til 8am.

 

Went and got me a load this morning. My options were back up to Washington or to Louisville, Ky. Since I have been up in the Northwest all winter, I chose Louisville.

I had talked to Johnny and one of the mechanics about my APU not starting when it was cold and stuttering on start when it was warm. They said that I was not the only truck with that issue and appears to be affecting the early 15 models with the Carrier APU. The problem is the glow plugs. So, got a new set of glow plugs (under warrenty) put in. And, man, it was such a smooth start that I had to open the door to hear the APU running.

 

After 3 weeks back and forth on i80, last week I jumped all over a swap to Laredo. Didn't even care that that crap down there kept me 3 days. lol
Well maybe a little...
