We got a few reefers floating around. Pretty beat up pups too. Their to keep the trailers warm for certain freight. Also when we have a driver appreciation BBQ on the dock keeps the sodas cold too.

I'm a grocery guy, so I pull reefer trailers frequently. The last few Fridays I've been picking up water at Crystal Springs, their dock is COLD. The loaders appreciate it when I crank the temperature to 80! Lol.

Anybody else have to work in Monday's snowstorm?

I did, went out with 16 deliveries, and brought 7 back.

My dispatcher had a serious case of brain flatulence tuesday.

She sent a driver an HOUR in the direction away from the yard after he got done to pick up 5 skids at a place that's open late and I was 20 minutes away from when I finished up.

    That is absolutely ridiculous.

I asked her when I got back if she'd lost her mind. o_O

"....But, but... That driver didn't want to come back early."

    Really???

I've heard the song state above both the melody and the lyrics. They actually after 4 months made some corrections to my Tuesday route. It got to big it just kept growing every week and I was doing my work and a lot of other guys work to. Anyhow corrections were made because it was getting out of hand.

One sign of having a good route is having a 48' trailer and STILL all the freight doesn't fit on the wagon.

I had a light day today. I only had 11 bills routed, and they still had to cut two of them due to the 10 big reels of cable that had an appointment and took up 16 skid spots. :)

Hey MACK, please don't think I'm picking on you here, just because I'm quoting three of your posts!:D

WHAT snow storm? I was running around in shorts and a T shirt! Oh I had a light windbreaker on early in the day, but shed it by about 1000.

Well now, we sure can't disappoint that driver, can we? Who cares how much money it costs the company????
    They have a "thing" going?

Big reels of cable! How I hated those. We had one driver that had one on his pup, and it was not secured properly. Hell, I don't know if it was secured at all...Anyway, he was way out in the boonies in BF Utah and the reel comes part way through his back door. So here he is beside the highway, out of Nextel range, with this wire reel pushed through his door. Obviously, he can't open the door, or what is left of it, but if he could, it wouldn't do him any good anyway, as he couldn't have moved that spool by himself...
And of course, he still had deliveries on the pup. They sent the company hook out and between he and the hook driver, and the boom on the hook, managed to get the wire spool pushed back into the pup. Then they had to go in and try to secure it, through this stuck door with a hole in it.
Sort of glad that did not happen to me.....

    Mike2633 Thanks this.
