There is no way that enough would quit. Just like half the people that claim they will won't in reality. I don't expect them to. But if they did........ ;p

ELD's will cause a driver shortage to the same extent Calif would be shut down because no trucks would go there after CARB rules were implemented.

Decision time tomorrow. Have financing arranged for a replacement for my aging truck. Hate to get rid of my beloved N14 Celect Plus but have wasted too much money and time with shops, including Cummins dealers, trying to locate the source of an intermittent electrical problem that will cause it to shut down randomly while driving. May happen once a month, may happen ten times in two minutes (very disturbing when that happened). Hate that newer trucks have all the emissions crap but as I stated earlier, things change. Anyone have experience with a 2012 DD15 ?

Lots of experiance with the DD15. I swear by it. Odds are it being used it will be ready for the DPF filter to be baked or replaced. Keep that in mind.

Thanks, that is a concern, no service records to indicate whether it has been done once already or not. 375K miles so by all accounts it should have been done once, right? Otherwise you like it? Rated 455hp right now, engine plate says 560, how much can it be tuned or turned up?

financing a glider can be tougher, a used glider is even harder. Not sure what kind of warranty I could even get on one of them. I did consider a glider but is more than I wish to spend in this current economy. First year for DEF I think was 2009 or 2010 I think, depending if you look at date of manufacture vs model year.

Wires to the solenoid or ground connections? The only wire to the primary starter terminal is from my Maxwell ECM, all other wires have been removed to a new common positive connection.
