Geez. Hopes dashed again. Wonder if Adrian is still at Celadon? He was my dispatcher. Nice guy.

When it comes time to make a move, check out Britton Transport. They do a lot of out and back to Fargo. I nearly went to work for them late last summer. Pay was a little better the Holland. APU, fridge, and inverter. Volvo 670's and Cascadias for trucks.

Dominick253 and Captain Zoom Thank this.

Nope. Nobody does now; they're out of production. Mostly Cummins these days, but mine is a KW with a Paccar.

    Dominick253 and rachi Thank this.

New dispatcher is arranging to get me to Indy for repairs to the defunct bunk heater and messed up EPU, then through Hickory NC ASAP to drop The Hot Chick off with her parents.

Dominick253 and Panhandle flash Thank this.

450hp/1687lb-ft, mpg average mid 7s on this trip (Prosser WA to Winchester VA via 82-84-80-70-79-68-554). On level ground it does high 8s or better. Kind of a slug on the big uphill pulls but smooth as silk most of the time. I've had it a month and had to replace a knock sensor. It's gone through about 3 quarts of coolant in that time so when I get to the shop I'm going to have that looked at. Smelling coolant a bit when the heat is on. Also the air pump seems to run more than I think it should, but that might just be a quirk of this engine--never had one before.

Based on my limited experience I'd recommend one but without the power choked down.

    Dominick253 and rocknroll81 Thank this.

I've run Detroit or Cummins most of my career with a couple of Volvos mixed in there; this is my first experience with a Paccar. So, yeah, EXTREMELY limited experience...in fact I'm probably not really qualified to give advice on the Paccar with my entire month logged.

    Dominick253 and sliver Thank this.
