Not unless you have a tag axle. The same tires all the way around will all be the same size around, especially if rotated regularly. This will keep both axles turning the same amount of turns per mile, meaning less wear on the power divider.

Even if two different brands of tires are the same size around, the sidewall flex could be different, which under load would make the axle with the most sidewall flex have more turns per mile.

Putting two different tires side by side with one having more flex than the other will cause faster wear on one tire, and possibly cause the stiffer tire to blow over time.

When radial tires were first coming on the scent you never put radial and bias ply side by side, or even across from each other, with 2 bias on one side and 2 radials on the other. That was a sure way to blow the bias tire out.

Yeah, I had them shred through the tarp, including the nylon band for the d-rings, quickly. Those really need a conestoga, or 15 layers of felt.

Funny yall talking about tearing up tarps. I loaded some steal plates today and have some tears already in the tarps. This is my 2nd load here. Already costing me Money, after today I don't think I will tarp again what a pita. Or at least take another steel plate load.

I asked the agent if they messed up tarps. She said she does 10 loads a day from there. They will put the tarps over the load. But, I remember people saying they eat tarps.
