Well usually it's been because the load is going into MI. That's why I dropped 'my' trains in the first place. I can't go into MI yet, but in about 3 weeks that changes.

Thought about that-hard to find a high flat pup/tow bar setup on the east coast. Not sure about length laws regarding it or interpretations by CTDOT of what makes a unit "doubles" as they seem to have a problem with every other ####### thing :/

I know they have some rule about truck/trailer combos vs semi-trailer units...can't recall it of the top of my head.

Those things always made me jump about a foot off the ground! Not a very common sound.

I'm surprised they let you get up there because laws are so similar between Oz and Canada, and for the last 10 years or so that would be a big no-no here with OH&S. If there was an accident the company would be crucified.

In the US we get up there all the time. A few places have rules aginst it and have overhead cranes or fall arrest. My favorite is when they tarp it for you. Only seen that once though.

Right, I don't think the ministry of labour and whoever else would like it too much if they saw it but what do I know?

Btw Oz your air start video is the only place I've ever heard an air start... Virgin ears, I guess.

Here's a better video I found when I started it up on a cold day and it hadn't been run for a while, it's an old video so just watch the beginning with the air start..

Edit: The thread is "post flatbed photos here" and there's plenty of photos in this video.
