We rely on oil for a lot of different things. One day we will have to change. It won't be changed until the money stops flowing from it.

I wouldn't idle if I had an apu. My company doesn't have apus. They do have a set temp range where the truck won't idle though.

I kind of mentioned something like this in another thread about two drivers playing games on a CAT scale where they took turns putting their steers on the back of each other's scale.

Anyway, I took a little heat over my comment. Was told that if I wasn't concerned about it, then I shouldn't mind if my neighbors ignore someone breaking into my garage, or words to that effect.

It's interesting how different people think. Generally I'm for minding my own business, unless it affects me directly, which then makes it my business. And someone breaking into my neighbor's garage is my business in my neighborhood as we generally watch out for each other.

Obviously, there are the major things that everyone should get involved in reporting, like a child abduction. But I certainly can't police everyone around me who does things differently than me, like speeding. I have a hard enough time managing myself and the older I get, the less I care about what others do.

I'm not saying I completely ignore everything. I like to believe I'm somewhere in between two extremes. At one extreme are those who feel a genuine sense of duty to report every infraction that they witness to someone and at the opposite are those who never, under any circumstance snitch, rat, or out someone else for even the most egregious of crimes. I'm probably a little beyond center leaning toward the "not my monkeys, not my circus" end of things.

Yet I still ask questions to help me understand why others might do things differently than me. The more I understand about other people, the better I feel about humanity.

Now this is something I really don't understand. If the train system is so wonderful, why do we see train parts being toted down the highway? Shouldn't they always be going by rail?

Idling a semi truck is not a crime.

Though there are some who would like to make it one, if for only to feel smug that they created a point of contention and grief for someone else because they felt it unfair that someone else could,.. and they, them self, could not.
