Depends on what the brewer/shipper requires.

I have never seen anything like this either.
Drivers honking their horns at the guards endlessly... first time for that too.
First time also seeing drivers parking all over with curtins closed taking their 10 hour breaks at a customer that has no overnight parking signs posted in multiple places. Then again it might only be an hour or two break in reality lol
    Ugh

Their back room should be at a stable temperature. The temperature in a dry van can swing widely - quick temperature swings have an outsized impact on beer and wine. Also think how hot it gets in the summer. Beer and wine should be shipped in refeers unless it is loaded and unloaded on the same day.

But I'm a snob. Too bad I have the budget of a slob.

Shippers are getting cheap, so they put it in Vans which is cheaper.
Under remarks of my load it actually says Schneider can charge to protect the load for freeze protect.

    Dominick253 and mxpx148 Thank this.

That's your problem...see I quit hauling those beer loads long time ago because of the shenanigans they do...

It was escape Florida load, my "choices" were limited.

Took forever to get my truck back.
Thankfully everything was pretty much covered under warranty.

Saw something ridiculous on my bill.
    Fuse $0.39
    Labor $50

Oh the fun of being paying for a truck!

Which simply means SNI will bill them for idle in the winter.

idle truck so the vibrations keep it from freezing, ive hauled other beverage loads where the broker requests you to idle, whether it works is still up for debate

    Dominick253 Thanks this.
