"I'm sorry to say it but, with your very first post you sound like a troll.
Well, maybe I'm not that sorry to say it."
It seems not to be there any more.tucker Thanks this. -
Look for a small Mom&Pop type company. They are least likely to look at a DAC and also probably have a hard time finding drivers. Be honest what you did and Pray. This is exactly what I did and I believe God literally handed me this job I now have after I too left under less than desirable circumstances ( though I did not abandon the truck). Best wishes to you!

While I am not trying to start a flame war I feel it is important to note that in all these stories of woe we are only hearing one side. I suspect if I took enough time I could find many people with similar tales involving most all of the carriers out there. In my driving career I have been privy to several situations where someone told a tale of woe that simply did not line up with the facts. One example was a driver that asked his company for a cash advance to gamble, he told the company it was for food. The company knew this guy had a gambling addiction and would not give him the money. He decided to quit and told everybody he knew he quit because the company ( just let him starve). In the case of CR England I know of several drivers on the Smithfield account. Their happy and making a living.
OTR is not easy to do and like most every other job it has its good points and bad points. I just try to exercise due diligence about not jumping to a conclusion about any company without knowing all the facts or listening to both sides. It is amazing sometimes what you don't hear when you only hear one side.
One further thing about this. Almost all of us know of someone who was fired or had a lawsuit filed against them because of a libelous tweet or Facebook posting. Posting things about a carrier that you can't backup in these forums can get you in trouble if a carrier happens to see it and make no mistake the chances you can be found is better then you might think. This is one reason I would never post something about a carrier unless I could prove it, so how about leaving all the hyperbole out of it!Last edited: Apr 5, 2016

It seems, that abandonment is one of the unforgiveables of this industry, like using drugs. I hope you weren't under load when this happened, that will make it worse. It is sad that there are companies that push drivers like that, but you really need to push thru the BS that can really happen anytime. I would check with @Chinatown, he is the guy that knows this business very well, and he'll be able to point you in the right direction from here
