Ooohhh, Ok. Well then I guess I'll find out when I get it hooked up.
-
The only problem is 99% of the guys that lockdown parking lots disappear out of my receiver 10 miles down the road and when I get 20 miles down the road I can still hear the guys on the stock Cobra 29's complaining about the guy in the parking lot with the big radio.
darthanubis and Ougigoug Thank this. -
3:00 position on the mic gain is not low that is 3/4 just start there and see what kind of reports or feedback you get, I generally keep my mic gain about 3:00.
Evvy Thomas Thanks this. -
Gotcha. Im used to having my stock 29 LX turned all the way up. I'll get someone to help and start at 12:00.

While I stand by my post regarding their customer service, I will concede to Rabbiporkchop and others here. I can't recommend getting any kind of tune up from them. At $425 for a 98vhp the pricing is great but the $40 "tune up"... don't waste your time unless your only goal is to be the big radio in the parking lot because that's all you'll be.
Here's my splatterbox:
(As for the Captain Morgan bit, don't ask.. Lol. Oops.)
rabbiporkchop and wolverine11 Thank this. -
Jeez that's bad. To think I used to recommend them before I knew better...
rabbiporkchop and Evvy Thomas Thank this. -
This is one of those situations that no matter where you set the mic gain knob it's impossible to get rid of the harmonics.
Evvy Thomas Thanks this. -
Yup, I'll take clean and mean.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
When he gets done with it you'll be able to run the mic gain wide open with no harmonics
Evvy Thomas Thanks this.
