I've had my share of excellent rates and bad rates...my advice to,anyone is this..you have to do what's best your business..each business owner has different goals and such...point blank I always give the real picture over here because lying to others really does no good at all..

I've been following this thread for a long time lol. I remember some of the rates you posted, and while skeptical at first, you posted the proof...end of story. I know someone running the program West Coast/Northwest, and he is averaging 1.30-1.50, so I'm sure NE can do a bit better.

Northeast sucks so it pays the most.
Out west is cheap which is why i havent been past Kansas since I've been here.
I can earn close to in the midwest what the Northeast drivers do with a lot less stress and lots more parking so that's what i mainly stick to.

I'm from NEPA, so I would be looking to run mainly PA,OH, IN, IL. Would of course be open to running outside of that if the money was right...one thing is for sure, it had better be one hell of a rate to go into NJ/NY lol

I run the same area, i try to do atleast 2-3 trips a day, i wont ever get anything cheap unless i need to get out and stretch. 200 miles is a long trip lol.

With all the drop and hooks you guys have over there, I would have no problem doing short trips if they paid more. Currently running reefer with mostly live loads/unloads as a company driver on mileage...I don't like any run less than 1000 miles with my current situation lol.

You'd go broke here doing 1000 mile trips

Just the opposite where I'm working now...if I did 200 mile trips with the live load/unload on reefer, I'd have enough in my check for some Pilot roller dogs lol. I would have no problem doing shorter runs if they paid better.

Had a first happen to me today...

Had a live load that i had to drop the trailer in a door...

    3 hours goes by... nothing.
Go inside to ask wtf is going.
Was told they'll be done within one more hour at the latest.
I wait another 2 1/2 hours, get outside my truck and see my trailer disappeared out of the door.
    Workers left...
I start banging on the doors...
Finally get a hold of somebody.
Turns out they moved my trailer to a drop lot, didnt even start loading it and noted on the bills that the "driver left". I told the dude to check their cameras, ive been in my truck in front of the "drivers entrance" for nearly 6 hours.
Last guy closing shop shook his head and said he'll load me himself.
