Depend solely on location and company, and how long you've been working there. Where I'm located it's normally 4on 3off, or 2one 1off, some companies are 5on 2off etc. To get specifics you have to contact whoever your trying to work for.

Ya. There's no way to tell until you have a regular bid.
I leave the house at midnight-ish on Tuesday, and I'm back home late Wednesday morning. Do the same thing on Friday, home Saturday morning. I have the choice to work a lot of different days, but that's what I want. I hate working Mondays. I would rather work Saturday morning than go to bed Sunday afternoon. Too much fun family stuff happens on Sunday.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
When I work at US foods it was a 4 day work week for everyone. I was doing 4 days on extra board. Mon-tues, weds off(slowest day) Thursday-Fri off sat-sun. Worked a sat once every 2 months. Averaged 50+ hrs a week. Bid route different it'll have what days your off and on. Typically no weekends. Your body needs to recover and they know this.
Mike2633 and Dominick253 Thank this. -
All depends, but as a rookie you'll most likely work at least one weekend day if not both

At Pepsi (not food service, but pretty similar set up) the guys on flex work Tuesday thru Saturday. Everyone else works Monday - Friday. If you're not on flex and they need more drivers on saturday you can work saturday at time & a half- which works out to about $40 per hour. It's a nice pay day. I don't think I ever turned one of those days down, but surprisingly guys did.

At GFS we work M-F in the broad line division. Start times vary and end times vary. Other companies and jobs work different ways. Like driver above me said companies like Coke, Pepsi and Milk you'll be working Saturday. One of our drivers at GFS used to work for Dairymen's said he loved Dairymen's, but it was one of those jobs where you were going to work Saturday it's unavoidable.
Radman Thanks this. -
days off??????
what is this term you speak of?????
oh, you mean when you finally run out of hours and you have to take a day off.
Yeah, you just manage your clock and if you are feeling good you are more aggressive to save on your 70 (or 60) and if you're tired, you just let that sucker run................ Nope, sorry, can't do it, out of hours.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Wait. You mean like pull into the hotel with 2.5 hours left, go take a shower, eat, watch a little tube, then log off? And then go back out and log on after ten and go back to bed for three hours? Never heard of such a thing.LoneCowboy and Radman Thank this.
