Because POS scumbags like this only care about what's convenient for them in the moment, even if it costs someone else's life. There the same ones driving down the road with earphones, or texting, or surfing. They roll with flat tires, blown brake chambers, no trailer lights, down the highway cause hey, its only 30 miles, what could happen?

Seems like a lot of people have future careers in human resources and safety management

Maybe if Schneider paid the driver more than $20-$30 to waste 5 hrs of his day they'd take it more seriously

Never have but I was at a FB company for a short time but opted to do Van smh.. I'd definitely wouldve did FB instead and probably most likely would've been there still.. But I'm looking into LS on there FB side.. Trying to talk to a few drivers on the road and see how the money is.. I wanna try it.. Everyone who I talk to says it's easy and I've seen old old guys doing to little women doing it so it can't really that difficult.. I guess it's mind over matter. But the rates are definitely double Van. I've seen it that first hand.. You can sit a day or two and still gross close to 5k in a week with minimum driving

Yeah the little I know about flatbed which isn't a lot is there's wayyyyyyy higher load to truck radio compared to Van and even reefer, like it's not even close and rates are a lot higher.
DAT says national average for flatbed rates are .40 a mile higher than Van.
How would one with zero flatbed experience get into flatbed as an O/O? Are there training classes one can take?

Trial & error. That's how I learned many years ago. Suicide coils always made me nervous. I always way over chained them, but I've seen what can happen if they decide to move.

How do you keep up with your miles. Do you have a legal pad or you using some type of software. When you say all miles... Is that off the odometer or mapquest? I'm just curious. Some people don't count all miles when they bobtail too the house or to the store.
